Brand Guidelines Overview & Logo Stacks
How might we build the branding identity for a NFP to help support our community to better heal from past abuse & trauma?
ABOUT
National Survivors Day (NSD) is a national day for people to come together to support peoples effected by historic/ past abuse and trauma in childhood and adulthood.
1. Logo Exploration
I began with the existing logo, taking on the advice that the existing tree felt bare and the general design outdated. I went through stages of multiple iterations, that simplified and distilled the visuals, until an evolution that was modern and bold was found.
Original Logo
Logo Evolution
Each leaf represents an individual, with the light and dark self, coming together in form, creating stronger entities and showing the connection to & the power of communities.
2. Colour & Type Exploration
Trialling different fonts and colour pairings for the stakeholder team and those who use the service to choose from and find the best options.
Colour & Type Exploration
Within the negative space we see a star shape representing bright futures. The shape itself looks like a flower signifying growth and staying true to the original tree idea.
3. Assets Creation
Evolving from a logo into a brand, showing how treatment of the brand in creation of Business Cards, Email Signatures and other assets.
